Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited rules out cut in Metro fares, says panel’s advice binding

Bengaluru: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has ruled out any reduction in Namma Metro fares despite sustained criticism from mobility experts and elected representatives who have alleged anomalies in the sharp upward revision in Feb this year.

Responding to queries from Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya, the corporation said in a letter that the recommendations of the fare fixation committee (FFC) are binding on it.
