B20 Task Force on Climate Change recommends just and equitable transition to clean energy

A just and equitable transition to clean energy must be inclusive and resilient, one that does not leave anyone behind from guaranteeing energy security to championing affordability and fostering gender inclusivity to strike for a transition that is comprehensive and compassionate, the B20 India Task Force on Energy, Climate Change and Resource Efficiency, recommended Friday.

The task force co-chair Sajjan Jindal said there is a need for global cooperation for net zero transitions.

“This is our call for a global alliance, urging nations and industries to collaborate, to innovate and to make the next generation of clean energy a tangible reality,” Jindal said speaking at the B20 India Summit organised by CII.
