Ayodhya Airport’s security strengthened: CISF takes charge, Scindia outlines phase one expansion plans

The Centre has sanctioned a security cover of over 150 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel for the Ayodhya airport, including anti-terrorist and anti-sabotage measures. This development comes just days before the high-profile consecration ceremony at the Ram temple on January 22.

The Maharishi Valmiki International Airport is the 68th civil airport terminal to fall under the jurisdiction of the specialized Aviation Security Group (ASG) of the CISF. CISF personnel will be responsible for frisking passengers, checking baggage, and securing the perimeter of the airport facility.
