Avoid road travel on Pune Bangalore road: Pune Divisional commissioner Mhaisekar
PUNE: Divisional commissioner of Pune Dilip Mhaisekar has appealed commuters to avoid use of Pune Bangalore highway as sections of the road/bridges are under water at four places. More than 53,000 people have been evacuated from the 5 districts of Pune, Sangli, Kolhapur, Satara and Solapur so far.
“Please do not try to drive on the roads that are under water,” appealed Mhaisekar.
“Pune division has so far received 133% rainfall, while highest rainfall in the division was recorded at Sangli at 208%,” he said.
