ATF, or jet fuel, with effect from Wednesday costs Rs 1,10,666.29 per kilolitre in Delhi, and this while this is the sixth-consecutive hike, it is the first time the price has crossed the Rs 1 lakh per kilolitre mark.

Aviation sector experts say that the increase in ATF prices could translate into higher airfares ahead of the summer vacation season. Jet fuel prices are revised on the 1st and 16th of every month based on the average international price of benchmark fuel in the preceding fortnight.
