At 289 metres, Delhi’s Aerocity metro station to have longest platform in Phase-IV

NEW DELHI: The platform of the new Aerocity station on the Aerocity-Tughlakabad Silver Line corridor will be the longest among all Phase-IV stations.

A Delhi Metro Rail Corporation official stated that the platform would be 289 metres long, against the usual length of 225 metres of other underground stations in Phase-IV.

“The station’s extensive length has been carefully designed to accommodate the anticipated passenger traffic as, in the future, this station will be a key triple interchange facility, connecting Airport Express Line, Silver Line and the RRTS corridor to Gurgaon, Manesar and Alwar,” explained Anuj Dayal, principal executive director, corporate communications, DMRC.
