Assam oil well blow out: District administration starts survey for assessment of damage for compensation
Guwahati: Following inferno in the oil well at Baghjan in Tinsukia district, survey for Assessment of damage for compensation has been initiated by the committee constituted by District Administration.
The gas producing oil well blow out on May 27 and on June 9 it exploded into a massive inferno.
Oil India LimitedNSE 0.80 % (OIL) stated that environment Impact Assessment study is in progress by M/s ERM India Pvt. Limited, a NABET accredited consultant to carry out the Environment & Ecological survey within the vicinity of Baghjan including Dibru-Saikhowa National Park & Maguri–Motapung Beel. “TERI will study on Air quality & Noise level, arrangements for placing the equipment for monitoring of air quality and noise level is underway by TERI team.
