Assam government completes flyover 14 months before scheduled date
Setting new benchmark, Assam government completed a flyover 14 months before the scheduled completion date.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma dedicated the newly built two-lane flyover at Supermarket-GS Road in Guwahati to the people.
The flyover constructed with a financial outlay of Rs. 127.20 crore, bearing a total length of 1205 metre, has been completed in a record 22 months instead of the targeted 36 months. With the inauguration, the flyover will considerably reduce traffic congestion at Supermarket by diverting traffic from Ganeshguri to Last Gate through the flyover. It will also ensure hassle-free traffic movement from Khanapara to Ganeshguri and facilitate smooth traffic from Last Gate to Ganeshguri.
