Arup Roy Choudhury appointed Principal Advisor-Infrastructure to Government of West Bengal
Arup Roy Choudhury, former chairman of power major NTPC Ltd, has been appointed as Principal Advisor-Infrastructure to Government of West Bengal in the rank of Additional Chief Secretary under the Cabinet Secretariat.
His appointment, on a re employment basis, will be valid for a period of two years. This was announced in a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms , Government of West Bengal recently. In his new role Roy Choudhury will advise the government on global best practices on infrastructure, areas of Public Private Partnership and Viability Gap Funding in infrastructure, areas of external funding in infrastructure, give his recommendation on effective and efficient project management and execution and on climate resistant infrastructure.
