Aptel rejects Tata Power plea against MERC’s Rs 7,000 cr project award to Adani without bidding
The Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (Aptel) has upheld the Maharashtra power regulator’s decision to award a Rs 7,000 crore transmission contract on a nomination basis to Adani Power, rejecting a petition filed by Tata Power.
“We find no merit in the arguments of the appellant and, thus, reject the objections to the choice of RTM route made by MERC in relation to the subject project,” Aptel said in its order.
