Apple partner Acumen announces 15 Indian entrepreneurs for Energy for Livelihoods Accelerator
Earlier this year, Apple announced that it has joined hands with Acumen – a non-profit – to support social enterprises in India to improve livelihoods through clean energy innovation. Through the Energy for Livelihoods Accelerator, Acumen experts were to lead a 12-week program designed to help social entrepreneurs scale and refine their businesses to transform the lives of people living in poverty, while also protecting the environment. Now, the The Energy for Livelihoods Accelerator has chosen a group of 15 entrepreneurs. Working on everything from agriculture, e-mobility, and hydropower, the 15 chosen entrepreneurs cover a full spectrum, providing the enabling technologies needed to maximise energy’s potential to improve livelihoods.
“This cohort represents a diverse mix of innovators working at the intersection of sustainable energy and poverty reduction.
