Anand Vihar RRTS station to be built 8 meters below ground

The Anand Vihar RRTS station will be an engineering marvel as it will be constructed eight meters below the ground. This will be the only station in the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) corridor to be constructed one level underground.

“A typical underground station is constructed two level below the ground. Initially Anand Vihar Station was planned to be constructed 15 meters underground, however in doing so, it came in the way of the construction of the RRTS corridor,” the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) said in a statement.
