Amritsar flight makes emergency landing at IGI
An Amritsar-bound Vistara flight today made a safe emergency landing at IGI airport here soon after taking off as a pilot noticed a technical snag in the aircraft, officials said.
Detecting the snag soon after taking off, the pilot immediately contacted the airport authorities. There were nearly 146 passengers on the flight. Officials said they received a call about the emergency landing at 10.15 am and then an alert was sounded at the runway number 28 of Terminal-2, which caters to domestic flights. The officials said many fire engines were rushed to the airport after receiving the information regarding the emergency landing. The flight landed safely, they added.
