Amrit Bharat Station Scheme: Nine new stations selected for redevelopment – Here’s what Ashwini Vaishnaw said
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday told the Rajya Sabha that the Railway Ministry has identified 1,318 railway stations for the development/redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
This indicated that redevelopment plans have been extended to include nine additional stations. Earlier, a total of 1,309 stations were identified for renovation.

Vaishnaw, in a reply to a question raised by MP Ashok Kumar Mittal, said that this redevelopment has been initiated by the Ministry of Railways to facilitate the ongoing development of stations across the Indian Railways. This scheme is designed to ensure the continuous and long-term improvement of stations.
