AMPIN may invest over 1k cr in Bengal for clean energy

Kolkata: Renewable energy solution provider AMPIN Energy Transition, may invest over Rs 1,000 crore in Bengal for advanced solar cell and battery energy storage manufacturing and solar power plants. AMPIN Energy, which has the backing of a group of international institutional investors, has a capital of $700 million (around Rs 6,200 crore). The company has a portfolio of over 5 GWp (gigawatt peak) spread across 22 states in the country, catering to all types of customers: solar, wind, storage and hybrid.

Company MD and CEO Pinaki Bhattacharya, recently in the city, told TOI that it was identifying land in industrial parks in Bengal for manufacturing activities.
