Akasa Air to start Bengaluru operations from August 12

BENGALURU: Newly launched domestic airline Akasa Air will begin its Bengaluru operations with a flight to Kochi (and return) on August 12. The carrier has planned two two-way daily flights to Kerala and is expected to connect to other major India cities from here within a few weeks after its maiden flight.

Sources with Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) said preparations are on at the airport to launch ground operations. The Akasa Air aircraft is scheduled to take off from Bengaluru at 11am on August 12 and land an hour later in Kochi. It will then depart from Kochi at 1.10pm on the same day and arrive at KIA.
