Airport hospitality companies keen to improve passenger experience
NEW DELHI: Airport hospitality service providers Plaza Premium Group, Bird Group and Travel Food Services (TFS) are shifting focus in India from opening lounges to providing facilities such as porterage and fasttrack assistance, as they look for newer avenues of growth.
Hong Kong-based Plaza Premium, which operates 19 lounges across India, said it will invest 500 crore, especially in Allways, a service that includes greeting with a welcome placard, baggage handling and escort through security checkpoints to boarding gates, and transport pick-up.
