Aircraft makes emergency landing in city
Chennai: A SpiceJet aircraft bound for Dubai from Madurai made an emergency landing at Chennai airport on Monday after the pilot noticed a glitch in operating the flaps. The aircraft had to make at least 10 rounds over the Chennai skies before it made a safe landing around 2.30pm.
With 167 passengers and a six-member crew onboard, the aircraft took off from Madurai at 12.25pm. Within minutes the pilot noticed the glitch in operating the flaps, before he reached 14,000ft.
