Air traffic set to double in 4-5 years, says Jyotiraditya Scindia
Daily domestic air passenger traffic has crossed the pre-Covid high and is set to soar, civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia told FE on Friday. According to him, the country’s air travel growth is going to double in the next 4-5 years. “Today, we have 200 million travellers (domestic and international). In the next four to five years, I look at this number going to about 400 million. This means that the sector will see an explosive growth in the next four to five years,” Scindia said.
