CHENNAI: India is seeing a V-shaped growth in the civil aviation sector post Covid. The per-day passenger traffic breached the pre-Covid record of 4.07 lakh three days ago, registering an all-time high of 4.17 lakh passengers per day, said Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
Passenger traffic had dropped drastically during the Covid owing to grounding of planes, he said.
The minister was replying to a query from DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran. The member raised concerns about congestion in airports across the country and lack of facilities and infrastructure to handle the increasing traffic.
