Air India to connect Mumbai to San Francisco from December 2
MUMBAI: Air India on Friday announced the launch of a second route from Mumbai to the US with thrice-weekly non-stop flights to San Francisco, set to debut on December 2.
Currently, Air India flies non-stop from Mumbai only to Newark. The airline, which was privatised eight months ago, will be launching flights from Mumbai to New York-JFK as well before the end of this fiscal. The airline will restart its Bengaluru-San Francisco non-stop on December 15. The airline has leased five Boeing 777-200LRs and the aircraft are set to join the airline fleet progressively from December.
With the leased aircraft to operate these flights, the airline will offer premium economy class seats for the first time on its long haul routes.
