Air India pilots body welcomes takeover by Tatas

Air India Boeing fleet pilots body, Indian Pilots Guild, on Friday said that it is looking forward to meet the new owner of the airline, Tata Sons, which is expected to take control of the flag carrier by December following winning the bid for its acquisition.

In a letter to Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata, the Guild said, “We look at today’s announcement as a monumental milestone not only for Air India but for Indian Aviation.”
