Air India owes Rs 250 crore in fare refunds to passengers

About Rs 250 crore of Covid-19 linked travel refunds to passengers are still pending with national carrier Air India, which has said it is planning to expedite the process. The process of refunds started from the beginning of July, it said, despite its revenues being “severely hit” during the second wave of the pandemic due to travel restrictions in the domestic sector and also certain international destinations imposing restrictions on flights to and from India.
