Air India fires pilot caught drunk after operating overseas flight

Air India has decided to terminate the employment of a pilot who tested positive for alcohol consumption following the operation of an international flight returning to India.

In a firm response, the Tata group-owned airline is also in the process of lodging a First Information Report (FIR) against the captain who flew a Phuket-Delhi flight last week and subsequently underwent a breathalyser (BA) test upon arrival.
