Air India extends leave without pay scheme for employees till end June 2021

State-run carrier Air India has extended its leave without pay scheme for employees until end June, making it almost a full year since the scheme was first introduced.

The carrier first introduced the scheme through a notice on July 14, 2020, among a host of cost cutting measures as the Covid19 pandemic impacted airline businesses and across the world and further battered its already precarious financials.
