Air fare cap may go before November 24 if demand rises: Aviation minister H S Puri

NEW DELHI: While domestic air fare range and capacity is capped till November 24, the government says it is guided by the principle of “objective reality” and could remove these conditions before that deadline if demand picks up earlier.

“As soon as domestic demand touches 50-55% (of the original schedule), which I expect to happen before Diwali (mid-November), I will consider removing either the lower or the upper range of domestic fares,” aviation minister H S Puri told TOI.
