Ailing baby on Delhi-Bengaluru flight dies onboard despite emergency landing

INDORE: The life of a seven-month-old boy could not be saved despite a New Delhi-to-Bengaluru flight of a private airline making an emergency landing at the Devi Ahilybai Holkar International Airport on Wednesday.

The Bengaluru bound flight was diverted to Indore after the parents of the infant informed the staff on board the plane about their child having developed respiratory-cardiac problems.

The flight subsequently made the medical emergency landing at Indore Airport, after which the infant identified as Dev Jaiswal was rushed to a nearby private hospital within three minutes.

But, with the infant’s condition being critical, he was referred to the premier SAIMS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
