Aide of coal mafia held in J’suguda

Binod Prasad, an associate of notorious coal mafia Sonu Ghosar, was nabbed following an encounter near Chualiberna under the Brajrajnagar police station of the district on Friday night.

Getting inputs about Binod’s presence in the Chualiberna area, the Brajarajnagar police conducted a raid late night to apprehend him. In a bid to escape, he opened fire at the cops. In the cross-firing, he sustained bullet injuries in his right leg.

Later, Binod was admitted to District Headquarter Hospital (DHH).

Police seized a pistol and three live bullets from his possession.

Many cases are pending against Binod in various police stations of the district.
