AI, AI Express have hired more than 3,900 people this year, says Campbell Wilson
Campbell Wilson, Air India’s CEO, on Friday said that the airline has hired close to 4,000 people – including 2,400 cabin crew and 500 pilots – since the start of 2023.
“Since the start of the year more than 500 pilots, 2,400 cabin crew and 1,000 other staff have been recruited across AI and AIX. We also saw our 1,000th new cabin crew of the year commence operational duties,” Wilson said in a message to Air India employees. Wilson also stressed on the airline’s push to ramp up recruitment and training capabilities.
Air India has around 11,000 employees and Air India Express (AIX) has about 1,900 people, including third party staff.
