Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel International Airport has been seeing a lot of ‘bears’ lately. If you see one, don’t be scared. Those are actually Ahmedabad airport officials in bear costumes trying to scare away langurs and monkeys running riot at the airport.

Grin and bear it?

To curb monkey menace, airport officials have directed their staff to dress up as bears and go after langurs in the area.

The Sardar Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad is surrounded by greenery and is a common habitat for longtailed langurs. Stray animals have caused much trouble at the airport and airport authorities were looking for a solution for a long time.
