After overhead bridge construction, Delhi-Meerut RAPIDX now completes tunneling work, tracks to be laid soon

In a significant advancement for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RAPIDX corridor project, a major breakthrough has been accomplished with the successful completion of the last 2km-long tunnel segment between Anand Vihar and Sahibabad. As per a TOI report, with completion of tunneling at the Vaishali retrieving shaft in Ghaziabad, the entire tunnelling work for this 82-km long Delhi-Meerut Rapid rail corridor is now concluded. The viaduct bridge work between Sahibabad and Meerut South stations was already completed last week. The track-laying work is going to start soon.
