AAI puts GoAir on cash-and-carry from Tuesday
NEW DELHI: With dues from GoAir mounting, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has put the budget airline on cash-and-carry across all its airports from Tuesday. The airline has reportedly has outstanding of over Rs 50 crore.
Confirming the AAI move, GoAir said in a statement it is “engaged in constructive discussions with AAI and would like to assure our customers that there is no impact on GoAir’s operations. GoAir flights will continue to be operated as normal at all airports.”
An order issued by AAI GM finance (revenue) R Ramani on Monday said the state-run airpot operator has “approved to put he operations of GoAir on cash & carry at all AAI airports from 12.01 am Tuesday (August 11)… GoAir to make necessary arrangement o pay required amount at respective stations for day-to-day operations.”
