78-day salary as bonus for Railway Employees
Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) equal to 78 days’ salary for the financial year 2021-22 to eligible non-gazetted railway employees (except RPF/RPSF personnel) before Dussehra/Puja. Prior to this, a total of 73816 employees working in all the divisions, construction organizations, workshops, plant depots etc. of Central Railway would be benefited. A total of Rs 129.09 crore has been paid by East Central Railway on this item. The salary calculation limit prescribed for payment of PLB is Rs 7,000 per month. The maximum amount payable per eligible railway employee for 78 days is Rs 17,951.
It is to be noted that railway employees have played an important role in the functioning of passenger and goods transport services, which has proved to be a catalyst for the economy.
