48% savings with revised CNG rates

Mumbai: Following the announcement of cut in prices of CNG and PNG by Rs 6/kg and Rs 4/unit respectively, a senior Mahanagar Gas Ltd official said, “The revised MRP of CNG offers attractive savings of about 48%, compared to petrol at the current price in Mumbai. Similarly, domestic piped gas (PNG) offers around 18% saving, compared to current MRP of domestic LPG while delivering unmatched convenience, safety, reliability and environmental friendliness to consumers. The rates were last cut in April. Mumbai Taximen’s Union leader A L Quadros had called for a one-day taxi strike in Mumbai, but then deferred the plan.
