460 new roads proposed in Budget show State on path of development: Min
Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Gopal Bhargava has said that the roads in any State are mirror of development. The roads proposed in the Budget by the Madhya Pradesh Government along with strengthening 105 railway over-bridges, 65 new bridges, 460 new roads to be built in the state indicate that the State is on the path of development, he added.
He was replying to the discussions on the budgetary demands of his department in the State assembly on Tuesday.
These constructions would take place in 56 assembly constituencies of the state with Rs 3123 crore. A target has been set to construct 65 bridges.
He told that in Madhya Pradesh work of maintenance, renovation and strengthening of national highways is done by Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation.
