3 flights to Odisha in Vande Bharat drive

Three flights to Odisha from overseas are among the 149 that would be deployed for the second phase of the Vande Bharat Mission.

Official sources said one flight each would be operated to Odisha from the USA, UAE and Malaysia during the second leg of the evacuation process.

The second phase of the Vande Bharat Mission would be launched between May 16 and 22; and 149 flights, including feeder flights, would be utilised for the operations.

The Vande Bharat Mission is considered as one of the world’s largest evacuation operations.

The phase one of the Vande Bharat Mission was carried out for five days from May 7.
