As on August 30, 2019 power distribution utilities across the country owe over Rs 9,735 crore to renewable energy generating companies, according to data compiled by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA). Andhra Pradesh tops the list with Rs 2,509 crore overdue payment to RE gencos, followed by Tamil Nadu (R 2,413 crore) and Telangana (Rs 1,581 crore)
