2 minors charred to death as gas cylinder explodes in Ghaziabad
GHAZIABAD: Two girls – aged 4 and 5 years – were charred to death in their sleep when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a house in Shatabdipuram colony of Kavi Nagar area on Thursday evening. While the rest of the family managed to climb down a ladder, the two sisters could not flee the leaping flames.
The two girls were identified as Ruby (5) and Rani (4). Their father, Brijesh Kumar, is a construction site worker and was out when the fire broke out in the kitchen and soon engulfed the entire building. The family lived on the first floor of the two-storey building.
