Zomato boards MakeMyTrip express to deliver meals with ‘Food on Train’ feature

India’s travel and food-tech sectors are coming together as MakeMyTrip partners with Zomato to offer meals directly to train passengers’ seats. Travellers booking tickets via the MakeMyTrip app can now choose from over 40,000 restaurants listed on Zomato across more than 130 stations, the travel giant said in a press release on Wednesday.

The service spans breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, with delivery timed using MakeMyTrip’s ‘Live Train Status’ feature to ensure meals arrive at the most convenient point of the journey.
