Women’s Day: Air India to operate 12 international, 40 domestic flights with all-women crew

NEW DELHI: One of the world’s longest non-stops, Delhi-San Francisco (SFO), will be among the 12 major international flights in which Air India will operate with an all-women crew on Friday, Women’s Day. These include direct flights from Delhi to SFO, New York, Chicago, Washington, Sydney-based, Rome, London, Paris and from Mumbai to New York, Newark, London and Shanghai.
“Seldom has a single airline scheduled so many flights – operated by its women employees – setting a benchmark to reiterate the equal role and opportunity women rightly deserve in any organisation,” AI said in a statement.
AI chairman Ashwani Lohani’s said: “Every individual and the society must respect women.
