The Centre has slashed the windfall levy on domestically produced crude oil to nil, while reducing export duty on diesel to Re 50 paise, a notification issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) said. The exemption of duty on exports of petrol and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) continues.
The revised levy is effective from April 4, 2023.
