Kolkata: IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, who is under fire for delays and cancellations that left lakhs of passengers stranded across the country, purportedly ignored warnings about pilot shortages at a Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) meeting a year ago.
Well-placed sources said that when a senior IndiGo executive warned Elbers that the airline could not operate with its current number of pilots, Elbers reportedly asked, “Do we have to accept the DGCA FDTL?”
