Vedanta signs pact with Tamil Nadu discom for supply of power
Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta Ltd on Thursday said that its has entered into a pact with Tamil Nadu power distribution company TNPDCL for supply of 500 MW of electricity at the rate of Rs 5.38/kWh.
In a statement Vedanta said that its thermal business units Meenakshi Energy Limited (MEL) and Vedanta Limited Chhattisgarh Thermal Power Plant (VLCTPP) have secured a 500 MW power purchase agreement with Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (TNPDCL).
