Use road to ease AJC Bose flyover traffic
Kolkata: Kolkata Traffic Police said it takes the same time to travel from Park Circus to Red Road-Mayo Road intersection via Park Street as it does via AJC Bose Road flyover and Hospital Road that entails travelling 40% more. This is to encourage motorists to switch to the former route and help reduce traffic load on the AJC Bose flyover.
According to traffic police, it takes 11-13 minutes to travel 3.7km between Park Circus and Red Road during peak morning traffic. This travel time remains consistent whether using this route or the longer 6km route via AJC Bose Road flyover.
