US government shutdown: Aviation sector to be hit! Airline workers may have to work without pay

The US aviation sector would be hit by the federal government’s partial shutdown as key airline staff would be forced to work without pay while other functions would also come to a halt.
Airlines for America, which represents major carriers including United, Delta, American and Southwest, said that a lapse in funding would impact travelers as “the system may need to slow down, reducing efficiency.”
