Amtrak has announced that the NextGen Acela service will officially launch on Thursday, 28 August, between Boston and Washington, D.C. Amtrak’s NextGen Acela is America’s high-speed train and will make its debut tomorrow for travel between Washington, D.C., New York City, and Boston.

The new trains are marked with a unique ‘NextGen tag’ on Amtrak.com and in the Amtrak app making them easy to identify when booking. Amtrak’s NextGen Acela, the fastest train the United States has ever seen, ffers 5G WiFi, contoured seating, bigger windows, USB ports and more. This new generation of high-speed trains will operate along the busy Northeast Corridor, stopping at major cities including New York.
