United Airlines bomb threat: Chicago-bound flight forced to make emergency landing – all we know

A Chicago-bound United Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing elsewhere due to a “bomb threat” on Sunday (US time), as per local US reports. The unprecedented air travel scare was reported after a man on board Flight 380 claimed that his wife had a bomb in her luggage. The 119 passengers and 5 crew members were travelling in the Boeing 737-700.

Having started its journey from Dallas, the airplane was headed to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago. However, the unexpected development prompted its pilot to make an abrupt stop at St Louis Lambert International Airport in Missouri at around 8:39 am local time on Sunday.
