Ultra Gas & Energy to invest Rs 900 crore to expand LNG retail network

Ultra Gas & Energy Ltd (UGEL), an Essar group firm, will invest Rs 900 crore to expand its network of liquefied natural gas (LNG) retail outlets to 100 across India, the company said on Monday.

UGEL currently operates six stations along major freight corridors in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The outlets are set up in the industrial and logistics hubs to provide reliable access to LNG, a cleaner alternative to diesel, it said in a statement.
