Two tamper with new MSEDCL power meters in Mumbai

Kalyan: With MSEDCL’s replacement of old electricity meters with new Time of Day (TOD) meters, Kalyan’s Badlapur and Vasai divisions saw the first instance of tampering with the TOD meters. One consumer tampered with a TOD meter by creating a hole in it, while another customer has been accused of attempting to reduce the meter’s speed using a magnet. MSEDCL has commenced legal proceedings against the two.
