Trump’s pick for India envoy: Delhi must end Russian oil imports as US works to resolve ‘hiccups’ in ties

Sergio Gor, President Donald Trump’s nominee to be the next US Ambassador to India, has said that Washington and New Delhi are on track to resolve “hiccups” in their relationship, while stressing that India must end its purchase of Russian oil.
Speaking at his Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday, Gor underlined that India is a “strategic partner whose trajectory will shape the region and beyond.”
